Ryan Higa Learns Singlish HD! @Soulmanna Live Event in Singapore (Original – Filmed by JP)

During Ryan Higa’s Q and A event at Wave House Sentosa on the 2nd of September 2012 (ryanhigasg2012.eventbrite.com Ryan attempts to learn a few Singlish words with the help of a few fellow Singaporean Youtubers – Noah and Tosh. It was hilarious and awesome!! I recorded it with my 5D Mark II and held it high above, I had a lens with IS so the video is very steady – however my arms were getting tired after a while haha.. do make sure that you watch till the very end to see Ryan role play with Singish – it’s very funny 🙂 We love you Ryan!! -Filmed by JP H.

  1. Please take some time off reading this message. It’ll help us alot. Thank You 🙂
Hey guys, we are a new Youtuber from Singapore and hopefully you could take some time off and visit our channel & maybe subscribe to us if you like it. Though we are small, every small steps count and hopefully we’ll achieve what we aim to in the future. This is our small step to achieve something big & hopefully you guys could help us accomplish it. With that, I thank you & have a nice day.
    P.S. Have fun!~

  2. I beg to differ. I’m chinese, but I, too, use ‘malay’ words like amaciam, tak boleh tahan, etc. It is all these little words from each language/dialect that build up the entire ‘vocabulary bank’ of singlish. As much as I know, my malay friends use words in the video too. Though I ought to agree on the main words you stated.
    P.S. It isn’t chinese, it’s hokkien.

  3. haha, i juz love seeing the difference at 1:20 when they were hurrying/inviting some helpers up on stage.
    Singaporeans: Eh, faster!
    Ryan: Round of applause

  4. It is technically a dialect, not Chinese. Try going to China and say these words to them, they wouldn’t understand a single thing. I wouldn’t say that they are the best at teaching Singlish here but it is what it is. Please understand that different people will have different preferences in their choice of words, like you have already mentioned that “only my Chinese friends use it”. I’m a fellow Singaporean too, and calling them “racist” is simply too harsh. Peace.

  6. Is it bad that, being a Singaporean and living here my entire life, I don’t understand any of the Singlish words?

  7. Darrenocl is really good though! Super natural, straight to point and funny. Some others just talks non stop and try hard to be funny..
